Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the services provided by Minneola Movers (“we,” “us,” “our”) to the customer (“you,” “your”). By using our moving services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. Please read this Agreement carefully before utilizing our services.

1. General Terms

1.1 Service Agreement: Minneola Movers agrees to provide moving services as described in the scope of work and according to the agreed-upon terms and conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, the transportation of goods from one location to another, packing and unpacking services, and temporary storage of items.

1.2 Scope of Services: The services provided by Minneola Movers will be specifically outlined in your booking confirmation. Additional services or changes to the agreed-upon scope of work will be subject to additional charges.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1 Booking: To book our moving services, you must provide accurate information about the location, the number of items being moved, the required services, and the preferred date and time. Bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until we issue a written confirmation.

2.2 Payment Terms: Payment for our services is due as per the terms outlined in your quote. A deposit may be required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid upon completion of the move.

2.3 Accepted Forms of Payment: We accept payment by credit card, debit card, check, or other forms of payment as agreed upon during the booking process.

2.4 Non-Refundable Deposit: In some cases, a deposit is required at the time of booking, which is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. Please refer to our cancellation policy for details.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

3.1 Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your moving services, you must do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled moving date. Failure to cancel within this time frame may result in a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total service cost.

3.2 Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule your move, please notify us as soon as possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional charges depending on the new date.

4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1 Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate information regarding the items being moved, the locations involved, and any special requirements. Minneola Movers is not responsible for delays or damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete information.

4.2 Item Preparation: You are responsible for preparing your items for the move. Items that are improperly packed, hazardous, or not suitable for transportation may not be moved. If we identify any issues, we will notify you and may refuse to transport certain items.

4.3 Access and Parking: You are responsible for ensuring that the moving crew has adequate access to both the pickup and delivery locations. This includes providing adequate parking space for the moving truck and ensuring the accessibility of elevators, stairways, and walkways.

4.4 Fragile or Valuable Items: While we take every precaution to safely move your items, we recommend that you notify us in advance if you have fragile or valuable items, such as electronics, artwork, or antiques. These items may require special handling or additional insurance.

5. Our Responsibilities

5.1 Safe Handling of Items: We will handle all items with care and ensure that they are properly secured during transport to avoid damage. However, we are not liable for damage resulting from improper packing, fragile items not disclosed, or unforeseen circumstances.

5.2 Timely Service: We strive to provide timely and efficient service. However, factors beyond our control, such as weather, traffic, or other delays, may affect the estimated delivery time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any significant delays.

5.3 Insurance: Our moving services include basic liability insurance that covers up to a certain amount per item in the event of damage. You may opt for additional insurance coverage for high-value items.

6. Liability and Insurance

6.1 Basic Liability Coverage: Minneola Movers provides basic liability coverage for your items while in our care. This coverage is based on the weight of the item and does not account for the item’s market value.

6.2 Additional Insurance: If you require full replacement value insurance for your items, please contact us before the move to discuss available options and pricing.

6.3 Exclusions: Minneola Movers is not liable for damages to items that are not properly packed, pre-existing damage to items, items stored by the customer, or damages resulting from circumstances beyond our control, such as weather-related delays.

7. Damages and Claims

7.1 Reporting Damages: If damage occurs during the move, you must notify Minneola Movers immediately, within 24 hours of the completion of the move. Any claims filed after this period may not be eligible for compensation.

7.2 Claims Process: To initiate a claim, you must provide a detailed description of the damage, along with any relevant photographs or documentation. Claims will be reviewed in accordance with our policies, and compensation will be based on the terms of the insurance coverage selected.

8. Prohibited Items

8.1 Hazardous Materials: We do not transport hazardous materials, including flammable, explosive, or toxic substances. These include, but are not limited to, gasoline, paint, chemicals, and firearms.

8.2 Perishable Items: We do not transport perishable goods such as food items, plants, or live animals unless specifically agreed upon in writing.

8.3 High-Value Items: Items of extraordinary value, such as cash, jewelry, important documents, and collectibles, should not be transported by our company. You should make separate arrangements for these items.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Arbitration: Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms and Conditions, including claims of negligence, damage, or breach of contract, shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida.

9.2 Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Minneola Movers reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the updated terms will apply to all bookings made after the revision date.
